I am overcome
by thoughts and imaginings
I don't remember how to sing
I wake and walk in a dream
nothing is as it ever seemed
before
And though I loved once,
It is not so, not anymore
There is a road that I must take
and leave it all behind
I will go where it leads me
back to where I used to be
as another creature, another me.
